Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

One of the largest aquariums in the country — sharks, rays, sea turtles, a Komodo dragon, and nearly 2 million gallons of water. On the Strip, great for all ages.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay packs more than 2,000 animals and nearly 2 million gallons of water into an immersive walk-through aquarium experience. You'll come face-to-face with sharks (over 100 of them), giant rays, endangered green sea turtles, piranha, a Komodo dragon, and more exotic species than most families will know what to name.

Open daily 10am–6pm (last admission 5pm). The aquarium now includes an Undersea Explorer VR experience — a 36-seat motion-platform theater that takes you swimming with humpback whales or tiger sharks. VR is for ages 5 and up. Admission is around $30 for adults — check the official site for current Nevada resident discounts.

Pro Tips

Book tickets online to avoid line waits. Nevada residents often get a discount on Tuesdays — bring a valid NV ID. Parking at Mandalay Bay is free in the self-park garage.

Best Time to Visit

Weekday mornings — smaller crowds, better viewing. Avoid holiday weekends.
