Springs Preserve

180 acres where Las Vegas began. Museums, botanical gardens, butterfly habitat, and desert history for the whole family.

Springs Preserve sits on the land where Las Vegas's original spring was. Today it's a 180-acre cultural and environmental attraction.

For families: the butterfly habitat is a must-do in spring/summer. The Origen Museum tells Las Vegas history in an engaging way. The botanical gardens are beautiful year-round.

Pro Tips

Annual membership ($65 individual, $95 family) pays for itself in 2 visits. The seasonal Butterfly Habitat opens April 4 through May 25 in 2026 — do not miss it.

Best Time to Visit

Spring (April–May) for the Butterfly Habitat, when hundreds of free-flying butterflies share the space with you. Fall for harvest events and cooler trails.
