Easter Weekend Tips

Bring your own basket
Town Square and several other egg hunts explicitly ask you to bring your own basket. Pack one the night before.
Book egg hunts early — they sell out
Henderson recreation events and the Pavilion Center Pool Eggstravaganza fill up fast. Register as soon as you decide you're going.
Go early to beat the heat
Early April in Las Vegas can hit 85°F+ by midday. Morning hunts are cooler and less crowded. The Eggstravaganza starts at 9am for a reason.
Lake Las Vegas = best photos
The lakefront backdrop is unbeatable for Easter morning photos. It's worth the drive to Henderson if you want a beautiful setting.
Start Friday with First Friday
First Friday on April 3 is the perfect Easter weekend opener for families who like arts, food trucks, and a lively outdoor scene.
Church services on Easter Sunday
Check with your congregation for Easter Sunday service times. Most valley churches — LDS, Catholic, non-denominational — hold special services. Community egg hunts often happen at churches on Sunday afternoon.

Check with your congregation for service times — most LDS, Catholic, and non-denominational churches in the valley hold special Easter services. Many local churches also host their own community egg hunts on Sunday afternoon, which don\'t make it onto event calendars but are often the best-attended events of the whole weekend.
